See what our members say about NJBA
I heard about this class via a friend and I have to admit I was a bit concerned about it because at the time I knew nothing about alcohol and the job of a bartender. I decided to give NJBA a call to get some more information and, to my surprise, I was asked to come in and talk to Loretta (one of the staff members) and find out what the school is about. She took the time to answer all my questions and put me at ease with all my concerns about being a bartender.
Like most people, I too am affected by this economy and am in desperate need of some extra cash, so I decided to give it shot. I have to say it was one of the best decisions I have made. Loretta and her staff are extremely professional. Our bar-tending teacher (Melanie) was just amazing and took her time answering all my and the other students' questions. You work at your own pace and they not only have years of experience but an extensive knowledge of bartending, so obviously I was in the right hands.
Though classes are only two days a week, I was able to complete my course sooner then even I expected. I left with my bartenders ID, my certificate that is recognized in all states and life time access to job placements. So all in all I have to say I got more than my money's worth and I thank everyone at the school for this priceless opportunity. I would without a doubt recommend this experience to anyone.

I attened the NJBA in August 1989, knowing I would have to get a part time job along with my full time job, when my son was born. After graduating from bartending school in Staten Island, I attened NJBA. After graduating from NJBA -- a few days later they sent me out on a interveiw at a catering restaurant in Jersey City. I was hired on the spot 20 years ago and still very happy there, now working as the banquet bartender and on major holidays working the restaurant bar. The times have changed now due to the bad economy, I was recently laid off from my full-time job of 20 years,so again I turn to NJBA for job placement to fill in my time when I am not at the restaurant.I have full confidence with NJBA. Thank-You!

I attended NJ Bartenders Association back in 2001; I was a single mother looking to make ends meet. It was going to be a source of making fast money, and it worked. As a few years past I pursued a career in Real Estate that required my full-time attention, so I put bartending to the side for a while. Here we are in 2009, the real-estate market has taken a toll and I see myself again with a need to make ends meet. Now that my son is a young man with activities of his own, I decided to go to college and bartend to pay the bills. I called NJBA, hoping that they still had my information, being that I misplaced mine, and the staff was just so helpful, they had my information, were very friendly and that Saturday I was back taking my FREE refresher course. I emphasized that I needed to work right away, as I have not had a real-estate closing in months and I had just started college; that Monday I got a call from Loretta if I wanted to work. WELL, OF COURSE! THANK YOU!

Although we are successful hairdressers, we love to try new and exciting career options.
We were impressed when we came to the New Jersey Bartenders Associaton and signed up immediately.
The classes were fast and lots of fun. We got placed in a job immediately after completing the course.
Although we stopped bartending for awhile because we are busy with our hairdressing business,
we know we can always return to bartending if ever we wanted to.
And if we can ever assist you with your beauty needs contact us us at jjdtwins@gmail.com.
